Welcome to our school !

10th June 2016

Dear Parents/Carers

Letter from the Headteacher:

Welcome to Nancealverne School. My name is Sarah Moseley and I am proud to be the Headteacher of Nancealverne School. Our recent OfSTED report stated that;

“The headteacher is very ambitious for the future of the school. Since her arrival she has worked tirelessly to improve pupils' achievements through high-quality training and checks on teaching which has led to improvements in pupils’ learning” (OfSTED 2014).

At Nancealverne School we are committed to and passionate about, the learning and progress of our pupils. Staff and governors have high aspirations for our children and young people. We aim to provide a specialist high quality, relevant and balanced education for young people aged 2-19 who have severe, profound and complex learning difficulties. This focuses on individual, personal and academic achievement, in an area of outstanding natural beauty steeped in tradition.

The school has a happy and positive atmosphere in which children and young people can fulfil their potential and grow in self-confidence with respect for the people and environment around them. Through strong partnerships with parents and collaboration with a range of other agencies the school offers a caring and friendly learning environment in which pupils make outstanding progress.

Please look around our website to find out more about the school and the opportunities we present for our children and young people.
