Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to our weekly newsletter for Nancealverne school. To our new parents, carers, families and students - this is the place for school information, upcoming events and trips and updates about our wonderful school community.
We have our 'Meet the teachers' parents evening coming up on the 21st of September 2023. You should have a letter in your child's school book with a list of times to choose from. If you haven't received it please do get in touch with the class teacher for more information.
I would like to take this opportunity to give you some information about school start times and finishes. Our school day runs from 9.10am - 15.20 - most of our students come to school via transport but if you are driving your child in please ensure they are with us by 9.10am so they can be in class for the start of their learning.
If your child is unwell or unable to come to school for any reason please call us as early as possible on 01736 365039. We can then inform the class team. If you know your child is going to need to be absent during school time please speak to one of the office team to get an absence request form and return it, so we can look at your request. Please note this is only for exceptional circumstances. Thank you again for your support with this.
As a reminder for where to buy uniform - it can be purchased at Trophy Textiles in Redruth or from local supermarkets. If you have any problems buying new uniform please get in touch with one of our home school liaison team for support. We also have second hand uniform available if you should need it.
