Lower Evergreens remote learning offer
Remote Learning
We can provide weekly work packs for any students that cannot attend school. Work within the pack will include personalised home learning opportunities linked to key English and Maths skills, as well as work based on a weekly topic.
Our Topic for this Term is Ideal World. In these uncertain times the topic aims to provide learners with a platform on which to explore hopes and dreams and an opportunity to explore the positives in the world around us, focusing on aspects within their control.
English Learning will explore three main areas within the topic: Holiday brochures, Lyrics and Poetry and Presentation skills. Whilst exploring holiday brochures learners will investigate and plan their dream holiday. Lyrics and Poetry will explore how songs can describe the world around us and influence people and build an appreciation. The presentation skills will see students exploring martin Luther King's 'I have a dream' speech, before creating a presentation to describe their ideal world.
Maths will also be linked to the topic as learners use their measuring skills to design a garden and in doing so create a as a safe space where they are able to relax and feel good. Learners will also conduct surveys to gather information about possible future trips and visits. finally combining these skills students will plan a charity journey from Land's End to John O'Groats.
We will continue to use the webpage to provide information regarding remote learning and plan to include remote learners in a weekly class assembly.
If you have any questions about the learning both in school or remote, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the school.
