Juniper remote learning offer
We understand that there may be times where some of our children cannot access school. To ensure the children who are learning from home are still successfully accessing our class curriculum and quality of learning, we have adapted our curriculum, topics and resources to ensure pupils accessing remotely can continue to make progress in all aspects of their learning. We know that being in school is absolutely the best place for your child to continue their educational journey. However, we do believe that with our combined efforts that we can work together to support our pupils and help them make progress towards their 'individual' targets from home.
How do we do this?
We will use phone calls, emails and Zoom as a way to video call and keep in touch. The class teacher will also make contact with you to discuss how your son/daughter can best access their education and continue to make progress towards their targets.
Class Dojo will continue to be our main platform to set work, monitor, feedback and reward. Zoom calls will also be used regularly as a way to keep our students in touch with their classmates and teachers and further set, monitor and celebrate work completed at home!
As a general guide, work, resources, links to clips, videos and lessons will be set on Class Dojo on a Sunday evening for the week ahead. Then Zoom lessons and catch-ups will be offered 3 times a week. A weekly phone-call and email will also continue communication and updates.
Work packs will also be shared with those students at home and are aligned to the teaching and learning coverage in the classroom and cover all areas of the curriculum. We can arrange for a work pack to be posted, emailed or dropped off at home and this will be discussed with each family on an individual basis.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any further help, guidance or resources to help your child continue their educational journey at home.
Below you will find links to resources that will enable your child to continue to make progress in specific areas of our learning, as timetabled and further extend their learning during any potential absence.
