Pupil Parliament
Pupil Parliament is made up of students, who applied for their position to represent the students voice across the whole school. Within our Parliament we have a range of ministers who work hard to ensure their roles within parliament are purposeful and effective. Our parliament works together as a team and always put the needs of the students first.
We meet every half-term and receive suggestions from the pupils in school in order to improve our school environment, our social experiences, including wellbeing and our community development. Within our pupil parliament we also have wellbeing champions who support classes and students during break and lunchtimes and meet with parliament once a term.
Our ministers are very focused in their role to support not only the pupils within our setting but also improve our community.
The meetings are supported by Lisa. (Home/school liaison team). We also welcome visitors who need to liaise with our parliament about local opportunities or opportunities.
Our pupil parliament have an active voice in our local community.
Examples are:
- Being involved in interviewing staff for the local authority.
- Advising on inclusion opportunities for the Tate Gallery.
- Liaising with the local Member of Parliament regarding travel safety for people with disabilities.
- Advising on inclusion opportunities at the local soft play area.
