Cury School- a satellite provision of Nancealverne
Cury School is a specialist provision for pupils of primary school age, who have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) identified as a primary need.
Aims of Cury School
- To provide a safe, nurturing and positive learning environment where everyone can achieve, pupils are treated with dignity and respect and given equality of opportunity.
- Use restorative approaches to enable pupils to succeed in their learning, improve their self-esteem and to be proud of their achievements.
- Foster expectations of high achievement and aspirations, providing opportunities for all pupils to succeed regardless of their level of need or ability.
- A fully inclusive school ethos implementing systems that foster positive relationships between children and young people and their parents/carers.
- To ensure all learners are supported to develop the skills needed to be prepared for the next stage of their educational journey.
- An outward-facing school, building local links and placing the school and its families within the heart of the community.
