Pupil Premium
Pupil premium is funding to improve education outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in schools in England. Evidence shows that disadvantaged children generally face additional challenges in reaching their potential at school and often do not perform as well as other pupils.
At Nancealverne school we are committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of background or individual needs, has the opportunity to reach their full potential. We recognise that our pupils face unique challenges and require targeted support to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The Pupil Premium Grant provides essential funding to help us address barriers to learning and close the attainment gap for our most disadvantaged pupils.
Our approach to utilising the Pupil Premium is carefully aligned with our holistic, individualised support model. We use this funding to enhance specialised interventions, adapt our curriculum, provide therapeutic resources, and equip staff with training to meet the diverse needs of our students. By fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment, we aim to empower each child to make progress and succeed.
In collaboration with families, teachers, and external professionals, we continually evaluate the effectiveness of our Pupil Premium strategy. Through this approach, we ensure that funding is strategically allocated to create lasting, positive impacts on the lives and learning outcomes of our students.
This statement details our school’s use of pupil premium funding to help improve the attainment of our disadvantaged pupils.
It outlines our pupil premium strategy, how we intend to spend the funding in this academic year and the effect that last year’s spending on pupil premium had within our school.
